The SWO - The Superintendent tears down his Scarlet Letter

  OUT, OUT, D-MN SPOT!!
These are the much awaited photographs, in which our building superintendent plays a Shakespearean role.
Thursday, November 29, 2012 - A NYC Buildings Construction Inspector finally gets access to building and apartment MD.
He found found that there was electrical work in progress, which had required a NYC DOB Permit.
A Stop Work Order on the electrical work was posted on the door, along with a hearing notice.
STOP WORK ORDER

He had attempted to gain entry the day before, on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, but the building superintendent and workers refused to open the door, despite the fact that the workers were working inside.
It was posted for them to contact NYC Buildings to arrange for an inspection. [Picture 2]

On Thursday, shortly after the DOB Inspector left 110 Bennett Ave., building Superintendent Alejo Ramos entered, stage right.
On seeing the Stop Work Order on the door, with its magnificent red letters; and despite it being illegal to do so, he immediately tried to take it off. He could not peel it off! Much to his dismay, it was solidly glued on! He tried to scratch it off with his fingernails, scratch, scratch, scratch, but that just ripped it!!
Determined to get rid of the Scarlet Letters, the Public Proclamation of his sins, the Sign of his open defiance of NYS and NYC laws, regulations and rules, and even common sense; he quickly went to his apartment, and returned with a tool. He diligently scraped and scraped. [Picture 3]

However, despite his efforts, the tell tale glue remained! [Pictures 4 & 5]

What was he going to do to completely hide the shameful SWO?? Were the telltale letters still on the wall? Could someone still read it?

Unlike the rear courtyard of the building, where his dogs defecate, and he never cleans up; unlike the trash closets, which reek like garbage and sport dead cockroaches, which bothers him not at all; but here, here, here he had to do something to get rid of the evidence. And so, he was left with no choice. He had to clean it all up, to pretend, to try and make others believe, as though the SWO never existed:

And in this, he did a d-mn good job, didst he not?!

Or did he?
